Our Story

With almost 20 years’ experience in the Scotch Whisky Industry, Cask Finery founder Mark appreciates that Scotland’s whisky success is stacked on its casks which generously mature the finest Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

And these casks are truly unique.

Every whisky cask is an assembly of oak wooden staves (planks) from various trees and forests. The majority originate in America for Bourbon maturation before being shipped to Scotland where they are used by various distilleries.

Handled by numerous experienced and skilled workers, the casks mature multiple fillings of different Scotch Whiskies over a lifetime. Whisky professionals agree that these aforementioned variables impact and imprint on the story of the whisky that the cask produces.

It is therefore strange that while their liquid is celebrated, the casks are ultimately ‘retired’ for garden planters and hipster BBQ chips despite their remarkable contribution.

‘We pride ourselves on reclaiming and recrafting each cask for its continued journey.

Made exclusively in Scotland, all Cask Finery products are unique by nature, capturing decades of heritage and maturation of cherished Single Malt Scotch whisky before being recrafted from reclaimed Scotch whisky-soaked staves and tailored with laser-etched designs and distillery names.

The simple design of Cask Finery accessories makes the aged oak the hero, providing cyclists with an impactful contrast and one-of-a-kind, natural accent to their alloy bike.

Along with a local supply chain, Cask Finery is committed to using reclaimed, recyclable and bio-based materials.

Cask Finery offers cyclists a unique blend of whisky heritage, sustainability and style with the launch of a new bespoke bicycle accessory range.
